NEI Architectural Salvage and Skräp Work bring you a large inventory of reclaimed lumber, architectural goods, and chippy vintage pieces. Most of our antique and architectural artifacts are acquired from 100 year old barns and late 1800 to early 1900 farm houses. We make these artifacts available to anyone from collectors to designers across the country. Reclaiming old lumber, upcycling salvaged goods and thinking outside the box are what we are about.
We take pride in every board we save and every piece we create.
Our mission is to preserve a piece of history by reclaiming old lumber and craftsmanship. We carefully dismantle old barns and buildings board by board and piece by piece. We take pride in preserving the natural beauty and history of old lumber and architectural elements.
How our salvaging service works
We typically salvage old barns and farmhouses dating late 1800’s to the early 1900’s and some out buildings. We will pay for salvage rights and salvage the wood and material that is salvageable. We use a lift and other equipment to carefully dismantle the structures. The remains and unsalvageable material is then knocked down to the ground or left as is. The owner is then responsible for removal by a controlled burn or a excavation service.
